Some believe work to be an obligation; I believe it to be another place to exercise my strengths and passions. As an organizer, planner, and avid communicator, I strive to bring structure, clarity, and understanding with me wherever I go. A very wise woman once taught me that work should be a place to exercise one's God-given talents, but it is also a place to practice selflessness and kindness. As an Administrative Assistant, I was able to practice my skill of organization as I helped transfer patient records to a new system. I not only wanted to get the job done, but I also wanted to provide the company with the most organized system I could. In my current position as a purchasing agent, I get to practice organization, planning, and communication as I work with vendors to ensure timely deliveries for needed inventory items and as I create new and efficient ways to keep track of expected purchase orders. These positions have helped shape my passions for organization and planning, and I hope to further my career in a position that will continue to challenge me and motivate me to grow in my strengths. I also hope to bring a spirit of understanding and empathy with me as I seek to serve whatever community I find myself in next.
