Managing Technical Operations including IT.• Manage and contribute to the Technical Operations team to maintain and build out our infrastructure and servers • Lead and manage, as well as participate in writing automation • Assist in leading capacity planning, provisioning, and scaling of the application infrastructure including cost-benefit analysis of vendor offerings • Manage and help implement uniform best practices for Operations across our applications to improve availability, security, transparency and incident response • Measure and report progress against targets for improvement in cited areas • Evolve infrastructure, server, deployment strategies, and testing to support our goal of 100% uptime and quick turnaround of deployments for the engineering organization • Continuously improve our infrastructure to be easy to deploy, scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant. • Drive the process in which our TechOps team operates and iterates/releases• Collaborate with architects, software engineers, and service providers to improve software delivery, configuration, monitoring, and operation • Identify Operations staff development needs and implement a plan to grow and train staff in applicable skill sets, specializations, and certifications • Help ensure information security best practices for our Hosting infrastructure. • Evolve infrastructure, server, deployment strategies, and testing to support our goal of high availability as well as quick turnaround of internal deployments for the engineering organization• Respond to emergencies and build solutions drawing on your years of infrastructure experience • Handle capacity planning, provisioning, and scaling of the application infrastructure • Develop high-level design interaction diagrams, system functionality changes, and robust change management processes

The Developer Productivity Engineering (DPE) team is here to help the engineers at CommerceHub take their effectiveness to a higher level by offering internally hosted development and operations tooling and support. We provide source control, binary repository management, continuous integration, monitoring, provisioning, log aggregation, automation, reviewing/auditing, and metrics tools. The combination of these tools and services can greatly decrease the overhead of operations tasks enabling the engineer to get back to fixing the problems they want to be working on. Our goal is to offer one-stop shopping, allowing engineers to pick from a collection of self-serve solutions that will allow them to be up and running in the minimal amount of time and not have to worry about maintaining the systems their solutions rely on.
