I am currently working towards building a company that focuses on Telecommunications and Machine Learning.I have over 8+ years of hands-on experience on various layers of wireless network protocol stack in standards, design & development and in leadership positions (mentor for interns and freshers). As a Lead Engineer in Samsung Research India, Bangalore (SRI-B), I worked on 5G Research and Product development for both Mobile and Network with a key goal being: Enable world class 5G deployments. Samsung has been a pioneer in starting research on mmWave (millimeter wave) for cellular communications. Since 2013, I have been working on projects with various hardware SoCs to conceptualize 5G, feasibility studies, Prototype & Testbed development, standards development, technology demonstrations (in technology forums such as MWC) and demos/trials with many operators worldwide such as Verizon, KT, Dutch Telecom etc. Successful results include MWC demos, (Pre-)5G demo in PyeongChang winter Olympics in South Korea with KT and 5G Multi UE trials with Verizon.As a Research Assistant to Prof. Sundeep Rangan at NYU wireless worked on the mmwave module of the Network Simulator ns3 and various novel machine learning techniques to ideate solutions to support Robotics over 5G (the mmWave channel: above 6GHz). I have 4+ patents and several research publications.Also, as a Machine Learning Intern at Bell Labs, I worked on the advanced detection and estimation on Video analytics using ML and AI.I also worked on a project in collaboration with Toyota to realize the dream of creating self driving cars using wifi direct and wifi aware.I have been a part of the Sexual Harassment team and have been a Culture 2020 Leader at Samsung Research India. I also lead the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative Samsung SEVA (team size of 50+ members and 200+ volunteers) to help 600+ schools in the remote regions of Karnataka in India with Notebooks, bags, Stationary, Water Filters, School Construction etc.)
