I am a physician and biomedical engineer with advanced certification in clinical research. I currently practice general otolaryngology in Denver with the Colorado Ear Nose Throat Group. My current primary focus is on providing my patients with high quality care. I own the Colorado ENT Group with two Denver Locations and also started Wyndly a Telemedical allergy practice that provides patients across the country with access to high quality allergy care. I have an interest in telemedicine and have published on the subject in both peer reviewed and industry specific journals. I also sit on the Academy of Otolaryngology's telemedicine committee, and have spoken nationally on the subject. Prior to my surgical residency, I worked in venture capital, focusing on early stage life-science investments. During that time, I advised a number of early stage companies. I currently explore my experiences in healthcare and entrepreneurship on my blog, MananMD.com, and have published on KevinMD.com, the blog for the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs, the Device Talk blog for Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry Online, and the Bulletin of the Academy of Otolaryngology.I received my medical degree at University of Maryland, where I pursued advanced training in clinical research after graduation. During my research fellowship, I worked closely with Dr. Ronna Herzano developing knock-out mice to investigate transcription factors associated with the development of hearing. The resulting publication was published in Nature Communications. I pursued my residency training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Connecticut. During that time, I served on the UConn Residency Leadership Council, and also served as a member on the Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery's Medical Device and Diagnostics Committee. My research focus throughout my residency was in telemedicine as a potential cost saving method in Otolaryngology; the resulting publications were published in the International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and in the journal, the Laryngoscope. I graduated from Tufts University with a double major in music and biomedical engineering, earning cum laude in both. Between college and medical school, I spent a year as a music producer in California while playing drums for a number of indie-rock bands.
