ParAccel database acquired by Actian is a high performance analytic MPP database (core technology behind Amazon RedShift). I developed parallel connectors for this MPP database from prototype to production which can move the data in parallel between two or more database clusters paving way for replication and federated database support. Worked directly with prospects to resolve their needs using this parallel connector. Also led and mentored the database drivers' India team.

Designed and developed new versions of parallel Hadoop connector which can seamlessly integrate Hadoop data using standard SQL UDF and MR jobs, leverage the Apache HCatalog benefits, integrate the hive query execution through SQL. I also worked on SQL functionality in ParAccel's execution engine and UDFs.

* Key contributor in design, developing SQL/OLAP functions for RedBrick database server.* Key contributor for strategizer improvements for improving performance.* Resolve customer reported issues on RedBrick server, provide guidance on performance tuning.

* Support the Informix Extended Parallel Server (XPS) in query planning and optimizations.* Implement DBCENTURY feature in XPS to reconcile definition and runtime date semantics for dates embedded inside fragment expressions, triggers, and stored procedures. * Support Redbrick server, design and develop multiple distincts in query processing.

* Resolve customer issues and provide patches for Informix database 5.x servers and Tools.* Platform engineering activity to support the Informix severs and Tools on various UNIX platforms.* Lead role in transitioning 5.x Tech support activity from US to IDC.
