Longmont, Colorado

Responsible for providing reader’s advisory and referral services to patrons in person and over the telephone. Instruct patrons on how to navigate and access information on the library’s catalog and computerized databases as well as troubleshoot issues with downloading e-books from Front Range Downloadable Library. Accompany patrons to the stacks to locate print material, instruct patrons on the use of the microfilm machines, and assist patrons with questions at the computer stations. Instruct patrons on how to access, analyze, and utilize information in order to build and strengthen information literacy skills.

Aurora, Colorado

Provide reference assistance in the AskUs! service in person, via telephone, chat, text, and email. Create and update resource guides and handouts using LibGuides and Microsoft Word for the Education and Reference department and the library. Teach library instruction classes for orientations and introductory searching classes. Worked on expanding and improving the Frequently Asked Questions database in Springshare's LibAnswers v2 by creating original content for knowledge base answers that will be searchable by patrons on the library's homepage. This acts as a triage system for patrons asking common questions regarding access to library resources, downloading reference management software, and scheduling research assistance with librarians.

Westminster, Colorado

Assist patrons with checking materials into and out of the library. Process fines and fees accrued by patrons. Answer questions in person and over the telephone regarding individual patron accounts. Process holds and put on the hold shelf for patron pick-up. Process materials that have been returned to the library as well as send materials out to other libraries via the courier system.

Interlochen, Michigan

Supervised the professional preparation of music for ensembles varying in size from small jazz bands to large choral and orchestral ensembles. This included part distribution, marking bowings, errata, taping music, binding scores, and editing music to facilitate easier page turns. Developed listening lists unique to each ensemble that included instructions on how to access music from the library’s databases as well as how to retrieve CDs, LPs, and study scores on reserve at the music reference desk. Worked closely with conductors and ensemble managers to determine which pieces and editions were to be pulled based on the musical skill level of the students.

Huron Street Branch

Processed library materials being returned to the library and ensured that books, periodicals, and media were accurately placed on shelves so that they may be easily found by patrons. Answered questions from patrons regarding the location of materials within the library. Processed holds and ILL materials and ensured that these items were placed promptly on the hold shelf for patron pick-up. Ensured book displays were refreshed and attractive.
