I served as the Public Health Educator for Henderson and Chester Counties in the West Region of Tennessee. In this role, I worked closely with community stakeholders and partners to develop, enhance, and implement various projects that promote health and wellness in those communities. Other responsibilities included modifying regional project plans to accommodate the needs of my counties, as well as collecting data when appropriate and reporting on activities for said programs. I used project management skills when assisting with Tobacco Settlement Fund plans and spending, assisting the clinical and clerical staff with Primary Prevention Initiatives in the community, and connecting members of the Health Councils with each other to enhance their specific projects.

I am a home visitor for the federally funded Healthier Beginnings Program. Projected outcomes for this program include decreased occurrence of child abuse and neglect, better readiness for Head Start, and overall healthier families. It is accredited by Healthy Families America and Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee.
