I was selected to participate in the Rules Committee for the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists. In this role I, along with a group of others, help assist the Board with preparing the statement of need and fiscal impact statement when there are rule changes, and review the rules and statues for consistency of language and content.

I worked with a team of talented therapists to offer a wide variety of relaxation techniques to the Bloomingdale Communtiy as well as it's surrounding areas.

Greater Chicago Area

I was responsible for offering Chair Massages at the Tru Rehab kiosk in the Bloomingdale Mall to help generate clients for the Physical Therapy and Chiropractic office. I would also attend various events and fairs in corporate and small business offices to offer massages and information about health and wellness. After 6 months I began working one on one with the patients in the Bloomindale office where I was responsible for the manual therapy sessions during their treatment. This consisted of 15-30 min sessions, and occationally a 60 minute session in a massage room if needed. I worked under the supervision of the Chiropractors and the Physical Therapists on staff.

Bay City, Mi

I was responsible for the education and management of up to ten adult students at a time. I instructed them in the basics of Massage Therapy within a six-hundred hour program. The curriculum included Anatomy and Physiology, Swedish Techniques, Deep Tissue Techniques, Lymphatic Massage, Kinesiology, as well as several Spa Techniques. I also supervised the Clinic.

At Jenay's I offered chair massages to clients of the stylists as they were waiting for haircuts. I also had a small base clientele that I would work on in a small massage space in the hair salon. It was a seperate room dedicated to Massage Thearpy.
