I am responsible for liaising with external designers, our systems support team and developers to manage the implementation of new design and functionality and for liaising with various people in our 18 international offices to ensure content is updated and refreshed, ensuring also that consistent standards and guidelines are followed. As part of my role I also work with Kentico CMS (website) and SharePoint (intranet) to update content, develop pages, manage access permissions, and other such front-end tasks and am also responsible for statistics reporting.

Having enjoyed working on the intranet at Jones Lang LaSalle, I undertook further training in the field of website design, and developed skills in html, css and photoshop. I was particularly interested in standards-compliant website design and accessibility. I developed a number of small business websites.

Working as a temporary PA afforded me the flexibility to re-train as a website designer and gain practical experience. I worked almost exclusively within the vibrant property industry of London's West End.

Working as Administrator for the UK research team, my role required me to type up and format research papers and create PowerPoint presentations. I also maintained the team intranet site and developed an in-house 'Secretarial Network' which included seminars, a newsletter and a 'shared intranet site'. My creative side saw me learning html coding so that I could make design changes. I enjoyed passing on my skills to other content managers. I left Jones Lang LaSalle to pursue a career in website design.
