Authentically engaging with others is what fuels me most, both professionally and personally. Over the last 20 years of my career, I have led multiple committees, mentored dozens of employees, and spent thousands of hours forging relationships with the community members and clients I served. These collaborations and partnerships have led to the development of nationally recognized library programs, multiple successful grants, and equitable policies and hiring practices. Outside of work I recharge by teaming up with friends on everything from organizing art and craft events and social justice groups to hosting a potluck book club and captaining a shuffleboard league team. The best non-professional decision I’ve made as an adult was choosing to attend a digital detox camp for adults - four times. Everybody’s story matters, and I love collecting them all.
