Deputy Program Manager
CurrentThe Living Marine Resources (LMR) program is responsible for applied research related to studying the impacts of Navy training and testing on marine species. The LMR program works to transition the results for use within the Navy’s at-sea environmental compliance and permitting processes, with the goals of improving marine species impact analysis (including marine mammal take estimates), mitigation measures and monitoring capabilities. I serve as the deputy program manager for research projects funded by the LMR program related to the following five primary investment areas:1. Data to support risk threshold criteria (e.g., hearing studies, sound exposure and behavioral response studies)2. Data processing and analysis tools (e.g. PAM density estimation methods, PAM automated processing tools)3. Monitoring Technology Demonstrations (e.g., new passive acoustic monitoring technologies and platforms)4. Standards and Metrics (e.g., standards for hearing studies, detector and classifier performance analysis standards)5. Emergent Topics
