The objective was to deliver a digital loan proposition that could enable a customer to apply for a loan online, receive a lending decision and if successful have the funds fulfilled within one day. I was responsible for the credit risk and fraud elements of the infrastructure, which involved environment set up plus code development via an external supplier. This was all delivered as part of an Agile methodology.

Decommissioned obsolete risk infrastructure triggered by the operational transition onto a new strategic application platform3. This was delivered ahead of time and below budget, saving £230k of the change budget for 2014.4. Delivered the infrastructure and operating model to enable the business to continuously deliver new reconciliations via the tool directly into the business operating model as a business led process, thus supporting business growth targets. Using Agile practices, the project delivered four environments in eight months (half the expected schedule). Three of these environments met the higher PCI data security specifications, one of the first projects to achieve this. 2. Basel II implementation plan. Appointed at the request of the Barclaycard Financial Controller, led a UK & USA team to plan the changes required to enhance reporting standards including audit and governance processes.3. Mitigated several mid flight troubled projects. Emphasis on risk identification, issue resolution, senior stakeholder management and implementation plans. Projects were focussed upon back office financial and governance processing.

This assignment was based in the Funds Administration department. Delivered an implementation plan for a workflow solution for the back office processing, thus meeting data retention and archiving requirements including audit, as well as delivering efficiencies into existing procedures. A prioritisation process for the 2009 change agenda meant the project did not get approval to be implemented.

This assignment covered two interim positions:1. Mayor's Transport Strategy - TfL programme manager. Delivered an implementation plan and established programme management controls for the development of the Mayor's Transport Strategy. These controls and plans were subsequently adopted by the permanently recruited programme manager. Achievements included: an issue resolution process with inputs across multiple stakeholders within TfL and the The General London Council; establishing a schedule and timeline for development of the Transport Strategy, signed up to by all departments within TfL thus ensuring the strategy met the Mayor's deadlines. 2. 2007 Spending Review - Programme Manager.Established, planned and implemented a programme of work required to submit TfL's bid to Government as part of the 2007 Spending Review, an additional bid to the Transport Innovation Fund plus delivery of the annual Business plan and Investment Programme. All submissions were delivered on time and to requirements with the planning process subsequently adopted by the TfL Business Planning team as a piece of best practice

This assignment covered four roles:1. Fund Administration Target Operating Model. As the operations lead within a wider programme tasked with delivering the optimal offshore organisational model, delivered the operational integration of the International Funds Group with the Private Clients business unit.2. Merger of Bank of Nova Scotia with Barclays Private Bank & Trust. As the operations lead delivered an operating model which merged the banking operations teams within the two organisations. Achievements included delivery of the design and its implementation to requirements, time and budget without loss of any designated key personnel during the migration. Also acted as the deputy programme manager. 3. Organisation Design Principles - Change Manager. Designed and delivered a flatter organisational structure to meet the Barclays group target offshore investment operations model. Delivered under budget and within 3 months ensuring year end benefits started to be realised by September 2005. 4. Replacement Banking Platform - Business Operations Lead and Deputy Programme Manager. Delivered process maps and implementation plans for the Banking Operations & Funds Administration depts as part of a programme to deliver an integrated Banking, General Ledger, Securities Trading & Accounting System. An interim role, plans were handed over to the permanent project team.
