As the Chief Economic Development Officer, Mandy works as part of Team Madison County to market Jackson to industrial companies in an effort to have them locate in Madison County and works closely with the existing industry and workforce development teams to support existing manufacturing companies. With her involvement, nearly 15,000 new industrial jobs have been created in Jackson, with investments totaling over $3.6 Billion.She holds a B.S. from Union University and is a graduate of University of OK Economic Development Institute, Dale Carnegie Training Course, Leadership Jackson, WestStar Leadership Program and TVA Leadership Institute. She is a graduate of Leadership TN Class X.She serves on the Jackson Regional Municipal Planning Commission and the general advisory board for TN College of Applied Technology-Jackson and Union University McAfee School of Business Executive Advisory Board. She is a member of the Japan America Society of TN, where she serves on the Board as Vice Chairman, and the TN Economic Development Council, where she served as Past President. She also served on the Board for the TN Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the University of TN Center for Industrial Services, for whom she is a frequent speaker and presenter, and is a member of the TN Certified Economic Developer Advisory Board. She has served in a variety of other leadership roles including advisory boards for University of Memphis-Lambuth Campus and Jackson State Community College. She also served on the Madison County Parks and Recreation Conservation Board.Mandy serves on the Board and is the TN State Coordinator for Southeast German Shorthair Pointer Rescue (SEGSP). She is a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA) Jackson Area Alumnae Association, and served as an Advisor to the Beta Omega collegiate chapter for over a decade. She has been named ZTA Outstanding New Alumna and Advisor of the Year and has been awarded the Certificate of Merit, which is the highest award given to a ZTA alumna for their service at the local level. She also serves as President of the Board for Regional Inter-Faith Association (RIFA). She was named one of Jackson's Finest Young Professionals and was featured by Union University in its Next Generation of Great Leaders series. The Jackson-Madison County African American Chamber of Commerce named her an Outstanding Woman in Business. Mandy received the Alumni Meritorious Service Award from Union University for outstanding work in the non-profit field. She was also recognized as one of Jackson's Most Influential Women in its inaugural year.
