As an investment manager at Brewin Dolphin, my days are spent helping clients achieve their ultimate goals, whether it be achieving a desired level of income, planning for retirement or helping them build a fund for the benefit of their children. Having looked after many of my clients for over twenty years, I understand the importance of building long term relationships. I aim to provide a personal service with regular contact, all of my clients having direct access to me as the individual responsible for managing their portfolios. As part of my investment management role, I take time to understand clients’ personal and financial circumstances, helping them manage any annual allowances available to them, such as capital gains tax exemptions and ISA subscriptions. I also help clients to navigate through the ever changing world of financial services, in conjunction with our financial planning colleagues, with the aim of structuring their affairs in the most efficient way to take advantage of current taxation rules and allowances available, which often includes assistance with pension and inheritance tax planning.
