As part of that engagement Mandy lead a coordinated and diverse team in executing the audit plan and working with management to develop action plans based on risk identified during fieldwork, and provided oversight with the implementation of the action plans to improve the system of internal controls• Led a SOX redesign effort for a large multinational medical device company spanning most functional areas (inventory, procure to pay, order to cash, financial statement close process, payroll, fixed assets). Supervise a team of 12 in executing fieldwork. Worked with Management to develop remediation plans for gaps identified and assisted with implementation.• Led an internal control integration of a large finance transformation for a large publicly traded research company to create a sustainable optimal mix of controls. Project areas include identifying control gaps, assessing scope of planned transformation, change and impact on control environment and developed an internal controls roadmap and plan. • Managed and executed forensic investigations in a clinical trials organization to evaluate compliance with financial management and billing governance. As part of that assessment, the team identified 67% of research charges reviewed were incorrectly billed to standard of care.
