I designed the curriculum for and teach a 9 month Film/Video Editing Program, which is part of a comprehensive full-time Film Production Diploma. The Editing curriculum offers in-depth practical training in Final Cut Pro editing software and a broad-based theoretical understanding of editing theories, principles and practices.Responsibilities include developing, delivering and grading 36-weekediting curriculum to full-time film students at various levels of experience. Editor with NFB's educational Studio G. Starting in 1990, I was one of a very few people to work on the world's first non-linear editing system EditDroid. Designed by LucasFilm to edit the original Star Wars movies, the cursor was Darth Vader's head and I earned the nickname Mandroid. EditDroid informed the design of all subsequent editing non-linear editing platforms such as AVID, Lightworks, and Final Cut Pro.
