Current- Contributed to the launch of two STEMdiff Lung products and currently overseeing another product in development- Identified a method to reduce cost of production by ~50% in expanding iPS-derived pancreatic progenitors compared to the initial specifications- Assessed pancreatic progenitor expansion in different culturing formats such as 2D, 3D, suspension cultures & in bioreactors to maximize cellular growth- Improved the scalability of experimental testing by 400% through developing a high throughput cell based performance assay for differentiating lung cells- Increased lung cell differentiation efficiency by 150% in pulmonary media products by optimizing the media formula- Minimized experimental risks and raised consistency in experimental results by creating flow cytometric characterization (FCC) SOPs for QC & R&D teams- Decreased the cost of the FCC process by reducing experimental time by 30% & determined the minimum concentration of antibodies for optimal results- Trained scientists on maintaining & differentiating human stem cells into epithelial cells, & characterizing differentiated cells via FC, RT-qPCR, & ICC- Developed educational resources for new products to facilitate product knowledge for the sales team, & provided on-going support- Spearheaded an awareness campaign to the ISSCR conference about a STEMdiff Lung product- Nurtured iPS-cell lines for various differentiation experiments - Reduced manufacturing of excess pulmonary media kits by validating the product’s efficacy beyond its standard shelf life
