I am a heart-led operator who conducts thorough reviews to identify improvement opportunities and crafts tailored strategies aligning with business goals. I have expertise in small to medium businesses, marketing, brand development, and change management, guiding businesses through transitions and ensuring employee and consumer engagement. I've had the privilege of working as both a business owner and a senior leader in various organisations, whether in a fractional or permanent capacity. This diverse experience allows me to create unique 'out of the box' commercially sustainable concepts that deliver sustainable and lasting impact. While I am a subject matter expert in tourism, hospitality, food and beverage operations, and events, particularly in regional areas, these unique skills offer valuable, transferable advantages. They are easily applicable to a wide variety of sectors, such as health, property development, Indigenous business development, wellness, and retail experiences.I am an expert in brand activation, event development, and an advocate for increasing awareness of a rapidly changing industry and the opportunities that exist, including the value of place of origin and product branding. Currently, I teach at the University of Queensland as an Casual Academic - Tourism at the UQ Business School. Additionally, I mentor with the Queensland State Government's Mentor 4 Growth Program and the Brisbane Business Hub, supporting sustainable small to medium enterprise development in Queensland. I love helping new or established business owners look beyond, and at the same time, I love nothing more than a roundtable discussion that demands robust debates on complex matters with a broad, lateral & creative approach. I believe that just because we've always done something a certain way doesn't mean it's the right way.
