Master Thesis
CurrentI am currently pursuing my Master's thesis at Karolinska institute, Bioclinicum(Theme Cancer), Department of pediatric oncology childhood cancer research under the supervision of two great women, Dr. Shahrzad Shirazi Fard (Main-supervisor) and Dr. Ingrid Lilienthal(co-supervisor). Our research focused on Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer. My research is to investigate SAMHD1 functions and ways to inhibit the cell regulator; in the end, we also suggest a novel treatment regimen for Ultra High-risk type neuroblastoma. (I can't share more details because we are planning to publish it) I have gained more knowledge, but every time I have a conversation with the people working here, I feel I lack knowledge in every way possible. But people here are more kind they teach me a lot of techniques and safety procedures, and most importantly the routine of having a seminar on Fridays was more knowledgeable. Molecular Techniques used over the course of my Master thesis: Routine cancer cell line maintenance, Western Blot, RT-qPCR(expression analysis for SAMHD1), MTS assay, Live cell analysis by IncuCyte, Immuno-Cytochemistry, Drug sensitivity analysis, and Mycoplasma test(both PCR and enzymatic detection).
