I am a tenured healthcare informatics analyst with over a decade of experience in Electronic Health Records (EHR). My skill set is rounded with attention to detail, technicality, organization, problem solving and creative vision. As an Epic Senior Application Analyst at Boston Medical Center for Quality and Patient Safety, I focus on providing clinical decision support and creative solutions to challenging workflows. I help leverage EHR IT solutions to ensure we are addressing areas that help improve the quality of care we give our patients. In my previous roles at BMC, I implemented Epic's Infection Control module, Bugsy as well as bringing our Dialysis department to Epic from a paper workflow. My previous experience includes implementation for MEDITECH at hospitals across the country meeting CPOE ARRA requirements and integrated Ordering workflows. Through my formal education I received a dual Bachelor's degree in Theater and Artistic Entrepreneurship at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I am an artist, writer and hobbyist in many dimensions. As a playwright, actor, and costume designer, I have participated in several Boston theater productions. Other practices I enjoy are performance (singing and dancing), creative writing (poetry and storytelling), photography, digital media (illustration and video editing), music (songwriting and recording), and visual art (drawing, sculpture, theatrical design, and crafts). One of my goals is to continue to develop and explore my areas of interest in the arts while gaining professional work experience. My dream role is to be an Artistic Director as well as to open a community art center that will target urban communities.Specialties: Bilingual (Fluent in both Spanish and English)
