Interactive Menu CLI for Serviceability Improvements• Identified Field Engineer’s serviceability pain points and relayed them to the team.• Defined 9 Key metrics to enhance the ease of platform serviceability (viz. Power Operations, Health, System Information, Logs, Certificates, VMs, RSVP Information, Cluster Information and Network Information).• Collaborated with cross-functional engineering, System and Testing teams to create a resilient Interactive Menu CLI. Translated requirements into Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) format to enhance focus on desired behavior and outcomes.• Usage of this Interactive Menu CLI resulted in a 30% reduction in serviceability time for field engineers. Serviceability activities became more streamlined, minimizing errors and enhancing ease of execution.Acknowledge CLI for business critical activities• Gathered Business critical serviceability activities (viz. Reboot, Shut Down, Network Configuration Changes etc.) and gained insights into their legal and SLA implications.• Led the team to build a configurable framework which would allow user to display custom messages and wait for Service Personal’s acknowledgement before performing these business-critical activities. Aligned requirements with corresponding component tests in ALM (Application Lifecycle Management).• This capability helped us reducing the potentially unplanned outages of patient critical hospital equipments.USB Media Support for Platform Install and Upgrade• Thoroughly assessed artefact delivery mechanisms for diverse customer sites.• Established a product backlog in Rally and guided the team in developing a portable USB media solution, while also assisting in the creation of a structured process for artefact delivery.• This process enabled us to deliver software artefacts to 90% of our dark customer sites with slow/no internet

Platform Install and Upgrade Capabilities• Systematically gathered and structured System Install requirements, solicited feedback from Service, Product, and Architecture communities, and meticulously documented them as Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) in ALM. Subsequently I segmented these requirements into IP milestones (Integration Points). • These IP milestones served as the foundational building blocks for the platform project plan.• Spearheaded inter-team risk retirement activities and effectively showcased demos of these IP milestones to a range of internal and external stakeholders.• This facilitated seamless integration with Spectro Cloud for our team and ensured stakeholders were consistently informed about the progress.

Nightly Build and CICD Pipelines• Took responsibility for managing DevOps activities across all 120 distinct Platform Microservices. • As a team lead cum tech lead, I lead a team of 5 developers to fulfil Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) needs for these services. We developed scripted Jenkins pipelines for diverse scenarios.• Developed Nightly Build Jobs, which runs every night to deploy and test all platform artefacts.• These pipelines reduced product delivery time, improved code quality and developer productivity.

Automated Server Patching• During the WannaCry ransomware attack in 2017, I was promptly deployed to address and resolve the issue. I formed a team of four skilled engineers, and together, we developed a comprehensive, end-to-end automated Server Patching Solution using Chef. • This project represented a unique use case of Chef, acknowledged, and studied by the Chief Architect at Chef. My efforts in this business-critical delivery were recognized in various prestigious Tesco forums.• The implemented solution successfully patched over 5000 Windows servers within a quarter, resulting in savings of half a million euros in manual efforts. It continues to yield cost savings through recursive operations.Cloud Migration • To enhance high availability and reduce latency, we opted to migrate Nexus (Central Artifact Management Repository) and GitHub to the cloud.• As a DevOps engineer, I authored Terraform scripts to provision and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, facilitating the seamless migration of tools into the cloud environment.• Cloud migration of GitHub and Nexus increased availability to 99%. The implementation of a Multi Availability Zone deployment strategy significantly reduced latency.
