I started as a self-employed entrepreneur in early 2000´s, working for a family company which was R&D oriented industrial and laboratory equipment manufacturer. Clients were mainly from Scandinavian industry-, chemical- and biochemical laboratories but also research laboratories. To mention some; VTT (Finland), Karolinska Institute (Sweden), Buchi Glass Uster (Switzerland), Posiva (Finland), Biomedicum (Finland)Activity included patenting, sales of technology rights, sales of know how, direct product sales, import, export, research, development and product manufacturing.After some years, the company was transferred to me and the name of the company became OPAM Instruments Ltd. Oy. This activity continued until 2013.Between 2004 and 2008, I developed new solar energy product range, first for Finnish markets and later for African markets. These two business lines; -Laboratory and -Solar continued, while supporting each other’s as main activities. For Solar energy, there was set new auxiliary business name: OPAM Solar Oy.At 2009 activity focused more into Solar energy, when growing opportunities in African markets were noticed. In 2010 I transferred technology and knowledge to Ghana, where Africa’s first Solar Energy product, production lines were set-up, based on OPAM Solar technology, manufacturing Solar Panels and Charge Controllers.At 2011 – 2013 the first noticeable project was done in Nigeria, where I did Solar electric street light project in a couple of dozen villages in Asaba – Warri region. First Finnish company with this product type in Africa, covering some 5% of total Finnish foreign trade to Nigeria 2012. While working with green- and environmental technologies it became imminent to grow more knowledge, related to water purification technologies and -businesses, especially from contaminated and challenging water sources.2014 I was at home with two kids and in January 2015 I started working in AQVA Finland Oy.
