About Otto Manninen
I work in Helsinki Biobank in data analysis, ICT-development and curating EHR-data however my background is in biomedical research, imaging and method development. I received my Master’s degree in Applied Biotechnology from the University of Kuopio 2007 and got my PhD from the University of Helsinki Medical Faculty at the end of end of 2015. I’ve been working in Helsinki Biobank from since 2016 and currently this involves data curation for both biobank customers and internal projects. My work has also involved coordinating various nationwide projects with the aim of advancing the collaboration between Finnish biobanks.Beside my scientific curriculum, I also occasionally work with a lighting design company White Night Lighting and a medical technology company Medikro. On my time off, I dabble in all manner of DIY such fermentation and brewing, as well as renovating an old farmhouse or designing and building high-end steel bicycles.I'm always interested in new projects, so if you feel we should talk, drop me line!Otto
