Foster a safe and empowered neighborhood with innovative community justice programs for/with the Rockaway residents.

Working with stakeholders, we developed a community transportation action plan.

Manage the day-to-day operations within three different offices with asmany as 12 employees. Hired, onboarded, and trained employees. Managed theallocation of over $30 million dollars to various city facilities including butnot limited to libraries, schools, streets, parks, affordable housing developments,and more. Managed the Participatory Budgeting process. Built andmaintained relationships with over 100 community based organizations.Organized events with attendance of more than 500 people. Organized andexecuted press conferences, rallies, announcements, and more. Writing pressadvisories and releases. Facilitated and directed high level meetings with cityagency staff, commissioners, Executive Directors, and more. Represented theinterests of the Member at various community meetings, forums, and events.Much more than a resume can fit.

Managed the day to day activities of this highly active network. That included,but was not limited to: managing the budget; securing funds; managingan outreach team consisting of 3 people; Organizing events that serviceover 1,400 youth annually; Communicating the message of the project (pressreleases, social media posts, website, representing the coalition at communitymeetings.); Creating agendas for all meetings, facilitating all monthly meetings,facilitating all committee meetings, facilitating youth group meetings andsecuring a location for all meetings; Securing and executing meetings with allelected officials within the coalition’s cachement area; Finding new membersand engaging current memberships; Created branding materials such as newlogo, one pager, flyers, fact sheets new website, brochure and etc; and buildingrelationships with key stakeholders of the Rockaway community.

Coordinated Coop business incubation on the Rockaway peninsula; Providedtechnical assistance to Rockaway cooperative businesses; Assisted withoutreach efforts; and Assisted with coop business development and workshopplanning.

Assisted City Council offices with outreach to engage the youth of NYC in thePB process; Created and executed first youth outreach plan for CommunityVoices Heard; Recruited, managed, and trained interns.; Conducted presentationsto more than 1,000 young people in NYC; Planned events and assemblies;Coordinated canvassing efforts targeting the youth.

Prepared and distributed press releases specifically targeting congressional officesof NY; Created and maintained great relationships with various congressionalstaffers in districts 1- 19; Recorded and responded to hundreds inquiries;Coordinated FEMA presence at multiple Congressional Town Halls; Coordinatedcommunications between agency and Congressional representatives.
