Spear-headed and implemented the industry’s very first poly-glot architecture and implementation for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Digital Business Unit to enable guest unification data and analytics across the enterprise on Azure using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Store, MongoDB, Neo4J Graph Store, Dremio(Apache Arrow), Talend Big Data and PowerBI.The technology implementation was designed to ingest data from internal and external source systems from cruise ships and on-shore systems, leveraging Microsoft Azure Data Lake Store and Azure Databricks for ingestion and transformation along with Talend Big Data for data integration services. The standardized data lake hosted 200 million records of guest data, which was transformed and stored in a NoSQL document store – MongoDB for further consumption. For performance and scale, implemented a Neo4J graph data store to host relationships between the customer, loyalty, demographics and feedback objects. The analytical layer leveraged Dremio and Apache Arrow to consume 1.5 billion records in a virtualized data set using real time in-memory analytics engine.
