As Finance Director at Minds Without Borders, the world’s largest international, youth-led nonprofit dedicated to mental health, I oversee our global budget and manage grants and sponsorships to support our mission. MWB, a 501(c)(3), is recognized by prominent organizations like Prudential, NASDAQ, and USA Today and strives to make mental health more equitable through storytelling, education, and policy. I drive long-term strategies, secure funding, and cultivate impactful partnerships while ensuring programmatic excellence and financial sustainability. Our reach spans six countries and continues to grow, working as a catalyst for change in mental health globally.

In my role, I honed my professional networking skills by engaging with lawyers and clients during circuit-level trials. I conducted extensive research to compile a comprehensive list of resources to educate the community on law-based aid. Additionally, I played a key role in standardizing official courtroom procedures to facilitate the assimilation of new judges into their roles.

I collaborated on various activities to enhance skills in citizenship, collaboration, and commitment. I led a community engagement project alongside a team of 10 members to support the underserved in Gainesville. Networking and contributing within the community were key aspects of my role.

I was trained to navigate sensitive racism-related situations, foster a supportive environment, and empower others to take action against racial injustice. I championed impactful service projects promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion by partnering with campus and community organizations to address systemic racism.

I collaborated with a diverse group of 150 mentees and mentors to facilitate growth and development. Through one-on-one mentorship, I received valuable guidance on resume building, networking, and career advancement.
