The Federal Energy Efficiency Center (BfEE) is part of the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA). It provides the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action with conceptual and scientific support, covering all aspects of energy efficiency in all sectors. The BfEE provides assistance in conducting research studies, establishing strategies, improving the framework conditions for energy efficiency, conceiving regulation on the national and the European level and developing funding programmes to improve energy efficiency. BfEE monitors Germany's progress towards achieving its national and European obligations in terms of savings and prepares the reports to the European Commission. BfEE is also responsible for the monitoring and assessment of energy services markets with the objective of developing them.

"Cross-sectional Analysis of GIZ Evaluations in the Energy Sector" - GOPA Worldwide Consultants commissioned by GIZ.Part of a research team conducting a qualitative comparative content analysis covering more than 50 evaluations, using MAXQDA and developing a respective codebook. The study includes an additional quantitative component and key informant interviews for triangulation.

"Grüne Bürgerenergie (GBE) - Green People's Energy": GIZ commissioned a GOPA Worldwide Consultants-led consortium to provide consultancy services for the program.GBE promotes decentralized renewable energy (RE) systems in rural regions in nine African countries (Ethiopia, Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mozambique, Namibia, Senegal, Uganda, and Zambia). The consortium was assigned to develop 37 case studies, including impact assessments, and 5 overarching thematic knowledge products published on Energypedia.Tasks as Researcher:- Contribution to the design of questionnaires, interview guidelines, and templates- Writing of case studies in the areas of "impact and sustainability of skills development initiatives in renewable energies" and "empowering women in the energy sector"- Conduct of desk studies, semi-structured qualitative interviews with key informants, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data- Development of a thematic knowledge product on women's empowerment in the energy sector- Quality assurance of further case studies and feedback loops with external case study writersTasks as Project Manager/Backstopper:- Coordination with client and consortium partner- Coordination with Team Leader and Research Coordinator- Management of an external institute responsible for data collection in nine African countries- Administrative management of the project team
