- Independently fabricated a composite laminate by pressing carbon sheets into the desired lamination code to form the lamina, then cured the lamina in an autoclave to make the laminate.
- Independently cut a composite laminate into four square plates, then bonded three of them together using a two-part epoxy adhesive.
- Independently cut the bonded plates into 23 5-mm-wide specimens by utilizing a cutter grinder for analysis of bonding practices.
- Fabricated twenty specimens out of metal, glass, and carbon fiber to test new Instron 50 kN grips.
- Independently tested three specimens on an Instron to approach 50 kN on the new grips.
