Experience in Open Pit Hard rock mining, platinum, gold, copper and Open Cast coal mining. I am currently working as a Technical Mining consultant for The Highland Group in Asmara. I have over 32 years of experience in Open Cast and Open Pit Hard and soft rock mining, of which more than 18 years was in senior level appointments from Mine Manager to CEO. My experience covers a wide range of skills such as load, haul, drilling, blasting, production scheduling and planning, blast design and wall control. Management of people, equipment management and cost control. High level of plant and plant recovery experience, with in the optimization of ore recoveries, Uranium, Copper, Platinum, Coal, Gold and Diamonds. Mine planning, budgeting, forecasting of cost and Production. Cost control on fixed parameters. High level experience on Health and Safety working standards and the conducting of quality audits.I enjoy traveling and working as mining consultant across borders, in Namibia, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Namibia, DRC , London, Russia, Israel and South Africa. Currently working in Asmara on a copper and gold project as the technical consultant mining operations for The Highland Group.
