Manuel went on to work as architect in PROMONTORIO Lisbon office in 2000. Between 2005 and 2006 moved to Salvador Bahia, Brazil, to be the on-site PROMONTORIO Project Director for Melia Bahia Hotel Resort project. In 2011, moved to Dubai as PROMONTORIO Project Director for Kempinski Damascus 5-star Hotel ensuring supervision and coordination of the concept design. In 2014 coordinated the project of a Mixed-Use of a 60 floors Residential Tower with executive apartments and Health club, Office Building and Fine Dinning Retail in Riyadh (KSA), which and is currently following through frequent site supervision & consultancy visits to construction site. In 2015 started the project development of Mixed-use scheme comprising a hypermarket and a strip-mall programme of big-box standalone retail, in addition to two residential compounds in Riyadh (KSA). Between 2014 and 2017 followed the Construction project of the premises of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Lisbon- Portugal. In 2016 started the project development of a 5-star business hotel w/ 250 keys & conference centre in Jeddah (KSA) which is currently under development.

Manuel began working in 1999 as an architect in Motta Guedes Architects, following graduation, where he remained for the following year designing the Concept for several Railway Stations.
