As administrator of the fund, I was responsible for coordinating grant application opportunities, reviewing applications, determining awards and distributing grant funds. Continuous improvement was always in the forefront since we wanted to assure the funds reached the applicants in a timely manner.

Former Silver Jackets Program State Lead -In Department Of Homeland Security Apr 2006 - May 2022Indianapolis, Statewide State Of IndianaSilver Jackets is a voluntary interagency collaboration team made up of State, Regional, Higher Education and Federal partners to maximize grant funds for disaster recovery and mitigation activities. We have leveraged over $18 million to create statewide benefits such as flood inundation map libraries, development of a state based fluvial erosion hazard curves and educational program, updated state orthocartography and LIDAR imagery for use by all state and local agencies. The Indiana team is a leader in the Silver Jackets Programs nationally and was awarded the national team of the year .The Silver Jackets team accepted the challenge of safety AT dams, especially low head dams. I had the distinguished opportunity to work with Seven-time Regional Emmy winning Producer Gary Harrison to create a 30 minute documentary - "Over, Under, Gone - The Killer in our Rivers". This program has been shared throughout the United States as well as internationally and stresses the importance of water safety as well as knowing the river and safety at the dams, which can kill our Youth. (Average age is 20.5 years old) -
