Lead Storage Architecture
CurrentLeveraging my industry experience, I administer daily SAN tasks on disk arrays from 3PAR, PowerMax 2K and 8K series, VMAX3, Isilon x410/F800, Power Scale F900 Nodes, and Dell EMC Elastic Cloud Storage. By planning and designing the infrastructure, I oversee Data Center, SAN, NAS, Object Storage, and Brocade SAN Fabric Architecture, and maintenance. To validate the availability and integrity of IT infrastructures, I prepare HA/Replication and Data Protection solutions with Single/Multi-Site, SRDF Sync and Async, including Cascaded/Concurrent replication, and Metro active-active setups.Key Accomplishments:► Facilitated the Director in equipment procurement and yearly budget planning to support company operations and growth by researching the latest technologies within the market.► Mentored new hires on SAN, NAS, Brocade and object storage architecture, data center architecture standards, and team operations by praising achievements, growth and recognizing improvement barriers.► Negotiated better deals, obtained timely support and service, and influenced the direction of Information Technology by leveraging quality relations with vendors and industry associations.► Participated in industry events, conferences, and forums to share knowledge and insights with peers.► Operated as a go-to person for mission-critical escalations, including post-mortem analysis and write-ups to minimize downtime, increasing SLA response times to 4-6 hours.► Worked closely with cybersecurity experts to identify and mitigate potential threats to SAN and NAS, such as ransomware, leveraging tools such as Ransomware Defender and building out Air Gap solutions.► Retained Brocade SAN fabrics with SANNav/BNA, and MAPS to optimize resources, improve performance, and proactively monitor and manage the SAN fabric.► Formulated a SAN infrastructure to accommodate growth/changing demands and transfer workloads by architecting a no-downtime migration environment using FC replication links.
