I was part of the Navis Labs department core team, which it is an applied, lean innovation lab. We empowered Navis and Cargotec to increase the value of software solutions. Main duties:- Prototype initiatives to explore new concepts - Apply methodologies and tools for effective performance continuous improvement initiatives - Cross functional collaboration on projects to connect and leverage the different Navis portfolio applications - Run emulations (N4 /TBA) / TOS data analysis - Ideate and Develop test suits for the QA team

After Go-live, my role evolved to be focus on coordinating a team of 50+ operations professionals for managing planning & execution of vessel, yard and gate operations with terminal running and achieving important goals in terms of productivity and throughput.My role beyond leading Operations team, also was focused on supporting continuous process and operational improvements including:- Vessel, berth and yard planning responsible - Mentoring new hirings and executing organizational changes- Keeping a close contact with other TTIA’s departments (IT, M&R, CMS, and Billing) to ensure interdepartmental coordination - Setting internal company processes and procedures and ensuring they are met - Software specification and ‘in-house’ development management of tools for better supporting critical processes as berthing management, vessel planning, gang nomination and yard planning

During Project implementation I was part of the core team making TTIA go-Live in May 2010. My main duties were:- TOS super-user, including requirements analysis and functional testing (Cyberlogitec TOS)- Specification of TOS optimization logic for quay & yard cranes scheduling and horizontal transport global pooling - TOS integration for Yard Automation (ABB) and related TOS yard planning and execution control features- Planning and Control functions to improve user interaction (GUIs) and related visibility and analytical features for managing operations efficiently - Specification and prototyping for Labor union tools for optimizing gang composition and utilization

During this period, I went across different roles. As Vessel Planner – Shift Supervisor I held following main responsibilities:- Pre-planning, all tasks regarding vessel info gathering & consolidation- Planning, all tasks about pure crane assignment and sequencing setting/adjustment- Post-Planning, all tasks for vessel closure when operations are completed- Control & Monitoring, global supervision for vessel operations in direct contact with Vessel Chief Officer and labor stevedores.- Shift Leader- Operations Department Coacher (vessel planning, operations control & monitoring, TSB TOS)- Mentoring and training for different divisions of the organization as Labor stevedore’s stowage training courses (lashing, stowage for foremen, checkers, yard cranes operators …)

During terminal project implementation my role was involved on setting up operations procedures. After Go-Live as a Vessel Controller I held following responsibilities on executions:- Control & Monitoring, global supervision for vessel operations and related labor stevedores’ instructions, discipline and safety tracking - Troubleshooting & Exceptions Handling, with direct communication with real time operators and following defined operational procedures - Re-sequence and planning changes, in direct contact with Vessel Planner / Shift Supervisor- Gate monitoring- Operations Procedures continuous improvement

At EPD, I combined a developer / analyst role and systems administrator for important company customers as Mayoral, Bacardi, Roca, Cemosa…- Network administration and equipment repairment (Windows, Linux)- Solutions programming in Microsoft Visual Basic , VBA, Delphi, C++, ASP (VB Script), SQL- Systems implementations- Data bases designs and data migrations projects- SQL Server Administrator
