I seconded with NNB who are clients of Hinkley Point C and started to work as a Review and Acceptance Engineer I was involved in Reviewing and Accepting FCRs, DERs, DENs, and RFIs of HR and HL Buildings in Nuclear Island (N1, N2 area).Environment: Tekla structures, Navis Manage, BIM Sight, Outlook, MS Office, TeamCenter, and CCIS.Activities: • Act as an intelligent customer about review and acceptance, on the site change requests of structures, systems and components after the formal handover of the package by the technical client organization • Review and Acceptance of site queries (FCR), Engineering open points and Design evolution notice for Nuclear Reactor (HR) and Safeguard (HL) building in collaboration with JDO-DT team• Categorise the modifications (change to design or safety demonstration or methodology) requested through FCR/DEN based on Nuclear and Environmental safety to meet NNBGenCo and the UK Nuclear and Environmental regulatory specifications • Collaborate with Responsible Designer (Edvance) and Design Liaison Team (JDO-DT) for raising technical queries and comments and approve the deliverables issued by them in Teamcenter and Consolidated Change Information System (CCIS) • Reviewing the 3D and 2D models for changes according to Field Changes Requests and coordinating with Design Liaison Team (JDO-DT) for any queries• Reviewing operational side Field Change requests raised from on field contractors (BYLOR) and suggesting the changes that needs to be modified • Created Plugin Tool in Navis Manage to ease the reviewing process • Created Macros using VBA programming to create draft FCR pages in CCIS web portal Results: Appreciated by the team and management for developing a more effective digital solution approach towards reviewing the Field change queries.

I have involved in the below tasks mentioned:• Brief the team on their roles and duties for the package as a Building Package Lead, and be responsible for reviewing the models, drawings, and quality assurance, as well as programme and resource management• Create a programme outline that considers the necessary resources. Discuss the plan with project manage and the design team, together with potential risks• Ensuring the adequate training for all the team members in achieving Expert User in tekla ladder• Solved complex detailing problems and developed new shape codes to aid the buildability of the structure duly considering the health and safety aspects at site• Collaboration with Automation team to test the feasibility of digital tools on the models developed in Tekla and giving feedback on the performance of tools• Raising the Technical queries and getting it solved by designers. Some of the technical queries discussed with Evance includes Switching area between 2 Precast slabs, Lifting hook anchors position, Deep Beam reinforcement arrangement• Resolution Method for Precast Slab: Since BYLOR came up with standard that 20mm clearance needs to be maintained with Precast slab rebars and In-Situ rebars an RAG approach is conducted across the building and 90% of the precast rebars are kept with 20mm clearance with Insitu for ease of installation.• Involved in drafting design risk register for HW building.• Implementation of OCRA process i.e., Originating, Checking, Reviewing and Approval process of models to ensure produced models are following Health and Safety standards to meet the client’s requirement in compliance with CDM-2015.

As a Graduate engineer with started in Hinkley Point C, Somerset UK which is one of the largest construction sites in Europe and one of the key projects towards UKs Net Zero Goals, I was responsible for generating 3D RC modeling models of HQB buildings in Nuclear Islands under UK1226 Contract Edvance UK I have involved in the below tasks:• Understanding the detail briefing pack (DBP) and design intent provided by Edavnce and clarifying doubts regarding DBP at kick-off meetings with UK team.• In creating the 3D RC models I have understood BS:8666 standard detailing standards, seismic detailing practices, and ETC-C requirements for detailing practices in Nuclear buildings.• I have understood the construction sequences and site conditions or site retrains provided by the Contractor (Bylor) through Method Statements(MST) to produce Site compliance 3D RC models.• Creating a multi-user Tekla structure environment• Creating the 3D RC models using standard shape codes specified under BS:8666 • Co-ordinating with other team members in producing effective clash-free models • Modelled one of the complex structures like circular plinths in HQB Batch 02 using different shape codes and declashing with plates • Using in-house developed checking tools to check lap length, naming, and shape code of rebars as per BS 8666 standards• Checking the models using Tekla BIM sight and updating the comments received on the modeling Results: Much appreciated by the Team and Management for quickly inculcating the project standards and being awarded ‘Best Performer of the Month’
