Over the last 42 years that I worked in the business sector I had the great experience of starting, acquiring and selling multiple businesses for myself and many others. Having learned many lessons with my own companies and working with hundred's of business owners I offered clients inside knowledge of what was involved in going through the process of selling a business to maximize transaction value. I have over 3 decades of experience in valuing, negotiating and selling/acquiring hundreds of businesses for clients, as well as having strong financial experience analyzing financial statements, understanding the tax ramifications and conversing intelligently with all the advisers in a transaction.For 32 years I worked at O’Keeffe & O’Malley, Kansas City’s preeminent merger and acquisition firm, which was founded in 1984. We assisted business owners through one of their most important lifetime decisions in selling their business. Clients were typically sellers in manufacturing, IT, distribution, transportation or service sectors in the $2 million to $50 million range residing in Kansas and Missouri, yet our services entailed targeting U.S. and international prospects to acquire our clients.For 10 years I worked in Wichita, Kansas as controller for Lodgistix, a software company for the hospitality industry, controller for Big Cheese Pizza, a franchisor of 150 pizza restaurants, and for Nord & Kotler CPA.Since 2001 I have been a Mentor in the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program working with business owners to enhance and grow their businesses.
