Mr Imran Maqbool, who has a long career in journalism, is currently associated with TRT World - a global news channel beamed out from Istanbul, Turkey.Previously, Mr Maqbool remained associated with other distinguished Pakistani and international media organizations including Samaa TV, The News, Daily Times, Television Business Productions, Reuters, Dow Jones Newswires and others. Mr Maqbool has multi-dimensional experience in various aspects of journalism be it print, broadcast or online. From field reporting to managing a team of reporters and sub-editors, he has performed various roles in different prestigious newsrooms during the course of his career.He also ventured in the field of media/public relations and served Pakistan’s central bank as Manager External Relations for four years where he was handling all internal and external communication flow. With an avid interest in economy and economic issues, Mr Maqbool wrote several articles and innumerable news stories covering Pakistan’s economy for local as well as international media houses.Mr Maqbool graduated with his master’s in Mass Communication from the University of Karachi in late 1994. He also holds an honours degree in the same discipline. He has also attended skill development courses in Singapore and had covered events internationally.
