Marc is an attorney who represents Indiana University's 46,000+ students, advising them of the benefits of avoiding or settling legal disputes. When litigation is necessary, he zealously represents his clients in court. He is also the associate director of IU's Student Legal Services office and an adjunct professor at IU's Maurer School of Law, where he instructs and supervises second and third-year law students in all aspects of clinical practice, including client interviewing and counseling, legal research and writing, case evaluation, negotiation, ethics, and litigation. His career path has been marked by progressive responsibility and achievement.Before joining IU, Marc spent several years in private law practice, where he was frequently appointed by the courts as a guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children. He has served on the boards of directors of Indiana Legal Services, Inc., where he chaired the technology and grievance committees, and Community Kitchen of Monroe County, Inc., where he served as board president for two years. He currently serves as president of the board of Rise Church in Indianapolis.Before starting his career in the law, Marc spent over a decade as an international touring musician, recording artist, and record producer. He co-founded an advertising agency and served as its CEO for three years, signing and representing local, regional, and national clients. He also worked as an accountant, and as a graphic designer and systems administrator for a national greeting card company. His breadth of knowledge and ability to integrate diverse experiences enable him to design innovative and comprehensive solutions to the problems he is asked to solve.
