My role is to create and foster relationships within the organization with the objective of increasing communication between our IT branch CIOSB and all of NRCan sectors.

I was part of a team working on the largest data migration effort in Canadian history. We will be migrating all data for (OAS) Old Age Security and (CPP) Canada Pension Plan from a legacy system to a modern Oracle platform. My role within the project is about adding structure and rigor to existing and new processes which will be created as part of the new and ongoing approach to data cleansing, conversion, migration and validation.

Canadian Heritage is mainly a grants and contributions organization with a mandate to help preserve and promote our heritage and national identity through various programs. These programs focus on various areas of our culture such as film and video, broadcasting, music, publishing, archives, performing arts, heritage institutions, festivals and celebrations and sports.My role as a business analyst is to help the client achieve their business objectives by helping them define or re-defining their business processes as well as helping build and document client business requirement. I say build, because I was once told by a teacher of mine that gathering requirements was an inaccurate characterization of the process and I agree. At PCH, we try to reuse existing solutions when possible, so another part of my role is to know what currently available solutions may respond to specific needs.I enjoy working with various clients, they are a great source of energy for me.
