The future of this bright, green planet of ours will depend on the combined efforts of those coming from many different walks of life. We're going to have to come up with many creative solutions to develop energy sources that are simultaneously sustainable and inexpensive to offset the damage that's been done so far. It's an enormous task, and yet, being given a chance to contribute towards these innovations is also such a privilege.I am a Mechanical Engineer for the vacuum department at Brooks Automation, an industry leader in semiconductor manufacturing automation. I work closely with the robotic systems that Brooks produces, preparing systems according to design specifications and customizing them by customer request. It is a fast-paced environment, requiring me to stay on top of several projects at a time, yet the diversity and complexity of the systems I work on ensure that I am never bored or overwhelmed. I'm excited to be a part of such an innovative industry and look forward to learning even more about automation solutions.Prior to this, I graduated from Northeastern University with a combined Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Sustainable Energy Systems. My interests lie in developing both innovative sources of alternative energy and the CAD that makes such creations possible. On the one hand, I've spent hours upon hours cultivating my skills in both SolidWorks and Creo, creating water purifiers to mechanical switches to robotic systems; on the other hand, I've designed my coursework to learn all about these possible advancements in sustainable technology, from solar thermal collectors to hydropower to better batteries.
