• Manually operated the 200-year-old and fully functional system of 8 locks at the entry of the Rideau Canal in downtown Ottawa. Work was outdoors and physically demanding. • Worked as a team with fellow lock operators to synchronize boat transport. • Followed strict operational and safety protocols required for the smooth operation of the locks and managed crowd safety by clearly communicating safety measures. • Performed general ground maintenance as required • Collected payment from boaters using Point of Sale systems.

Provided excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Fulfilled and delivered grocery orders and handled Point of Sale transactions.
