After I succesfully finished my mastersstudies at the University of Osnabrück, I did work for 1 1/2 years in the molecular department of the Laborarztpraxis Osnabrück. From May 2022 to january 2024 I worked for the Biophysics/Screening department of Proteros biostructures GmbH in Planegg, near Munich.Now, after a relocation to Japan, I am looking for exciting and challenging new Job opportunities around Tokio.In my position as a research associate at Proteros biostructures GmbH I worked together with project scientists to develop biophysical and enzymatical assays to research drugtarget-compound-interactions for our customers. These assays often had to be designed and optimized for high-throughput-screens and adapted for robotics. Futhermore I executed these high-throughput-screens and performed preliminary dataanalysis concerning assay development and screens. Additionally I also took over several in lab device responsibilities.My work at Laborarztpraxis Osnabrück was focused on performing molecular medical assays. A big part of these were q-PCR assays for SARS-CoV-2 determination. Though q-PCR assays for a lot of other virological infections were also part of my daily routine, aswell as DNA-blots and device and quality responsibilities.My bachelor and my master thesis both targted the Protein Neprilysin 4 in D. melanogaster. While the bachelor thesis researched the effect of Nep4 on Drosophila Insulin like Peptides, the master thesis was focused on the role of Nep4 cardiovascular diseases. In both thesises I worked with D. melanogaster and performed methods like q-PCR, western and nothern blots, flourescence staining and imaging, preparation of D. melanogaster flies and larvae and several larvae behavioural assays.Outside of work I practice the japanese sword fighting style "Hokushin Itto Ryu". In this old traditional school I keep myself fit physically and mentally, while learning to keep focused under pressure.
