Senior U.S. theater engineer and Director of the USFOR-A Joint Engineer Directorate, responsible for overall development, implementation, management, and direction of U.S. engineering efforts throughout Afghanistan. • Instrumental in U.S. base transition planning, successfully closed 3 U.S. Bases and transferred excess infrastructure valued at $1.85B to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan• Chaired the USFOR-A Joint Facilities Utilization Board (JFUB), enabling effective requirement development, validation, and approval of over 94 U.S. real property repair and construction projects valued at over $62.7M• Responsible for oversight of the $1.3B Afghanistan Infrastructure Fund (AIF) program in partnership with the U.S. Department of State (DoS) and U.S. Agency for International Development. Program portfolio included key energy and water infrastructure projects to improve sustainable power production in Afghanistan • Managed the congressional directed $330M high explosive training range clearance program in direct coordination with senior Afghan, DoS, UN, and contributing nation representatives, The UN described the HETR program as “the largest, most complex clearance project ever undertaken”.

Principal adviser to the Commander of a 3000 Soldier Alaska based organization, advising on all matters pertinent to leading, training, and deploying modular Engineer, Military Police and Service and Support organizations in support of Overseas Contingency Operations or Defense Support to Civil Authorities

Led the US Army's only Multi-Mission Airborne Combat Engineer Battalion, responsible for the morale, welfare, discipline, training, and leader development of six subordinate organizations totaling 694 Soldiers and 726 vehicles and equipment valued at over $43M with an operating budget of $1.7M. Ensured the unit maintained the ability to rapidly deploy in support of Overseas Contingency Operations or Defense Support to Civil Authorities with special emphasis on engineer support to forced entry/airborne operations and arctic engineering capabilities.

Responsible for coordinating joint engineering activities for a joint force of more than 21,000 military service members within the command's area of responsibility. Led a staff of joint service engineers in formulating and implementing joint engineering plans and programs to ensure effective and efficient infrastructure support for all forces performing missions in Alaska for multiple service, joint or DOD commands. • Transformed a stagnated environmental/infrastructure process for the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex into a highly active interagency team of 90 participants actioning a multi-million dollar master planning contract. • Brought the Tanana Range Access Project from concept to reality by developing a joint, interagency team, facilitating the receipt of $104M in appropriations and guiding the environmental and design process.• Actively enabled the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense Innovative Readiness Program to relocate the Alaskan native village of Newtok to the island of Mertarvik to protect them from extreme coastal erosion
