Lead an IPT for the Honda Jet HA-420 advanced light jet empennage work package with the objective of delivering the product to the final assembly line in accordance to the program schedule. Responsibilities include schedule, cost, risk and change management in coordination with Production, Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain disciplines. Coordinate the program activities of offloading the empennage structure work package to Fokker Aerostructures in Mexico. Define the required statement of work for the program requirements with the supplier ensuring the successful transition, phase-out and offload of the structural work package.Established a governance with the IPT including the supplier to capture key actions, track milestones, review program and technical deliverables. Align the necessary IPT members from cross-functional teams to achieve the program goals of the empennage work package. Exercised communication skills through reporting of key performance indicators, risks, issues and status to senior management and executives.

Manage the engineering integrated product development team for the fuselage work package on the L85 Production and Flight Test Vehicle configurations. Primary role was leading a team responsible for structural design including the integration of the cabin interior, systems integration comprised of environmental control system, electrical/electronic and hydro-mechanical; structure supplier management for the fuselage transparencies and production startup in Mexico. Additional responsibilities were IPDT coordination and harmonization with the program goals and objectives including Manufacturing and Technical disciplines, further ensuring the completion of the type design.

Wichita, Kansas Area

Responsible of the Learjet L85 Production and Flight Test Vehicle configurations of the forward fuselage structure with 20 designers under my supervision. The scope management included airframe structural design, systems and supplier integration. Integration and technical oversight of suppliers included Hutchinson, C&D Zodiac, Arrowhead, Liebherr, PPG and B/E Aerospace from integration to implementation. In August 2011, my responsibilities evolved from being responsible for the AFT Fuselage and Wing-to-Body Fairing detail design with up to 45 designers under my supervision.Until September 2009, I was leading the low and high pressure air systems, and hydro-mechanical systems installations and integration throughout the aircraft during the Joint Definition Phase with major suppliers. Key accomplishments were completing a weight savings development phase of the main fuselage.

Lead Integrator of structural design, with 8 engineers under my responsibility, for a composite research and development project based on automated fiber placement in collaboration with the Canadian National Research Council, Bell Helicopter and Composites Atlantic. My responsibilities included managing and integrating supplier tasks and coordinate the structural design within the IPDT while participating in developing the design requirements for a certifiable product. I further assisted management in budget, cost and labor requirements for the entire project, manage the deployment of tools such as CATIA V5R17, ENOVIA/LCA and FiberSIM and assist implementing new methodologies to improve the end-to-end design process. Until 2006, I was responsible for the design integration and systems installation for new and emerging technologies in collaboration with the Flight Test Center which are currently being applied to new product development. Key accomplishments were successful development and test of a composite fuselage demonstrator using automated tape laying technology combined with the application of structural bonding; structural integration of an electrical brake system on a Global Express flight test aircraft used a mitigation development program for the C Series.

Part of the component build design team, I was responsible for design and integration of the cockpit canopy, pressure floor, forward bulkhead, external skins and interfaces with mating work packages. On-site support for Joint Definition Phase at Toulouse, France between Sept 04-Feb 05.

Provide engineering design support for the DeHavilland Out-of-Production aircraft DHC-2 Beaver to the DASH7 turboprop aircraft until the type certificate transfer to Viking Air. Coordinated the knowledge transfer of out of production aircraft programs from De Havilland, Toronto. Responsibilities included 24H AOG support defining permanent and temporary structural repairs design including static stress analysis, prepare and coordinate in-service modifications and support continuing airworthiness. Engineering scope included metallic, composites and bonded structures.Key customers supported included Viking Air, Voyageur Airways, Air Greenland, Petroleum Air Services, Air Tindi, Air Seychelles, Zimex Aviation, Air Moorea and the Royal Canadian Air Force. During this period, I was a TCCA candidate delegate for minor repairs.Assist Voyageur Airways on returning one of their DASH7 aircraft to service during a week long assignment in North Bay, Ontario preparing minor and major structural repair dispositions. The operation was completed during a routine C check where the return to service schedule was critical to the customer.

Key roles are redesign of key structural assemblies with objectives to maintain a certain level of commonality within the CRJ family and review design assemblies in light of reducing manufacturing and production costs. Manage and coordinate all design issues from concept to production implementation for the CRJ200 aft fuselage sub-assembly package and pre-flight activities. Design and integration for the product improvement of the cargo door surround structure and the AFT passenger floor structure.Other aircraft platform accomplishments: Challenger 300 Continental mid-size business jet: Design from layout concept of the cockpit canopy primary structure and the under floor forward avionics bay support structure.CL-604/605 Challenger business jet: Participate in the detail design of the emergency exit over-wing door assembly, responsible for formers, side frames, skins, and exterior seal retainer. A Six Sigma driven project consisting of redesigning the door structure from sheet metal and drop hammer parts assembly to a machined part assembly reducing parts count, assembly time, downstream rework, weight and recurring cost.
