I currently manage a team of 17. My role is to build a dynamic and efficient team delivering first class supporter care, maximising giving potential, delivering donor centric supporter journeys and ensuring fundraising best practice is adhered to. I have refined processes and guidelines for collecting and recording data protection statements and supporter preferences, inline with Fundraising Standards Board and the Information Commissioners Office legislation Implemented a multi-platform systems data integration project to improved supporter journeys, data accuracy and reconciliation between systems, creating a more holistic view of our supporter data and strengthening compliance. Ensuring cost efficiencies whilst increasing the teams efficiency and improving supporter journeys through accurate planning of annual budgets for my team; also managing costs from third party suppliers and negotiating with them to improve SLA’s, services and reduce costs. I’ve implemented a supporter charter, championing the importance of excellent supporter care, to support organisational objectives. Compliance management for Gift Aid, Data Protection including new opt in legislation, FRSB and IOF codes of practice.

In this role I have managed a Gift Aid audit ensuring accuracy and identifying any risks and issues. I have implemented a robust system to ensure all future Gift Aid is; compliant, linked directly to supporter records, fully auditable and 100% quality assured after input. I have overseen the implementation of the Gift Aid submission via The Raiser’s Edge directly to HMRC including troubleshooting any errors and liaising directly with BlackBaud. I have also created Gift Aid Toolkits in conjunction with HMRC for fundraising teams to use. I have been the responsible person for signing off Gift Aid statement for the Direct Marketing team and helped execute Gift Aid mop ups.Implemented a Quality Assurance system for our Data Processing team which will also report on processing KPI’s ensuring our SLA’s are met and identifying any areas of concern.I am working on integrating various databases creating a ‘Single View’ database for all to use. I have a very good understanding of The Raiser’s Edge and have been Lead Champion for our Raiser’s Edge users.I am responsible for managing the Database Services and Data processing teams in the absence of their manager and have been the point of contact in the absence of the head of department.I have worked closely with our finance team on reconciliation and fundraising compliance for restricted gifts.
