Thus, duties include but are not limited to:-Develop and process requests for the authorization of Veterans Choice Act and Non-VA Care Coordination services.-Examine, certify and submit certified vouchers into a centralized automated system.-Prepares authorizations for Non-VA Care and obtains necessary information for external referral.-Answer inquiries regarding Purchased Care, Veterans Choice Act and claims for both authorized and unauthorized services.-Reviews vouchers to ensure accuracy of document (i.e., mathematical calculations, medical coding, etc.).-Documents all determinations and informs claimants of their appeal rights.-Initiates and composes correspondence concerning a wide variety of customer related inquiries and/or issues (i.e., incorrect vouchers/invoices, claims, care coordination, etc.).
