A Sociologist by education, and a former social worker working with Aboriginal Peoples, Marc works exclusively with Aboriginal communities and leadership organizations and industry or government partners as a Community Relations Facilitator and Senior Advisor on health services, governance, and community economic development initiatives. Marc has been a member of the International Impact Assessments Association, and has spoken on the topic at one of the IIAA Conferences.Marc is a Harvard Negotiation Training Group certified Negotiator and has negotiated multimillion-dollar contracts for and with First Nations in British Columbia. Marc uses his experience and expertise in the fields of training, marketing and business, as well as his knowledge and understanding of rural Aboriginal issues, to support the development of marketing and business plans, economic development initiatives, training curriculum and organizational management strategies. Marc also has developed integrated protocols with First Nation communities and has taught conflict resolution, mediation, facilitation skills, life skills, lateral violence, financial management, job-seeking skills and postsecondary transition training. Marc is certified in Executive Management, providing training to upper level managers and government executives. Marc most recently sat on the Boards of the Caring for First Nations Children Society and the Child and Family Counselling Association.
