Construction director with a focus on sustainability and innovation, and a proven track record of complex buildings delivery. In 2024 I joined the Nuclear & Offshore Wind business line of Bouygues to lead engineering bids for the delivery of audacious concrete foundations systems on offshore wind farms.I have 19 years experience in the building industry including site supervision, design management, estimating, procurement strategy and expertise in civil engineering, structure and façade. This role follows 6 years with Bouygues UK's Engineering department in an active role on bids, pre-construction contracts, and delivery. There, I co-developed cross-company projects such as the SBT baseline for embodied carbon and a framework on the benefits of Modern Methods of Construction. I also coordinated the regulatory compliance watch on Building Safety Act for 3 years and held an advisory role on Approved Documents B (fire), L (energy), O (overheating)…My technical and leadership skills add value on complex buildings and infrastructure projects. I have the rigor and discipline to plan and deliver the design and mobilisation of technically challenging schemes. I am agile and love to work in complex environments, where linear progress can be hampered by contingencies coming from design development, external environment challenges, political decisions, resources, or budget management issues. Technically, I supplemented my core skills of civil engineer by a strong practical knowledge on digital technologies, embodied carbon calculations, building envelope and energy performance. Earlier in my career I had key responsibilities on the Cambridge Assessment headquarters, the Ray Dolby Department of Physics in Cambridge, GSTT's extension to Evelina, and on project Oriel for the Moorfield Eye Hospital in London St Pancras. My previous experience also includes years on site.In 2016/17 facades package of a new 10 000 m2 office building in the City of London. From 2007 until 2014, I worked on two major projects in Paris. On the Philharmonic Hall I managed for 4 years the construction of a large composite metal/concrete structure: long cantilevers with vibration control, 850 steel plates embedded in 400 mm thick walls, all designed to Eurocode class of consequence 3. My first site manager role on the Jussieu University project included the phased demolition & reconstruction of 9 concrete cores and the passive fire protection of a 50-year-old steel frame.
