Access clients servers to install database requirements & software packages, including web versions. Capture change requests & scope creep and update schedule in terms of cost, time & resources. Create & issue release notes, install guides & upgrade guides.

As well as developing Coabis, I also work as part of a larger team on various in house software products used by employees of Aker Solutions. I am involved in projects from start to finish and have to design specifications as well as test plans. I meet with clients to discuss software changes and present work to them. A typical day will include meetings, analysing, programming, problem solving, testing and documenting.

My main responsibilities were to learn how to program using Delphi to allow me to quickly learn the piece of software I would be helping to develop. Coabis is an asset integrity software tool used by many clients and is developed for use as an application and as a web – myCoabis. I worked with senior programmers on changes and bug fixes to both the application and web version. This gave me a greater understanding of the product and allowed me to be involved with projects and attend meetings.
