Project work is focussed on the enhancement of stress testing capabilities to address increased regulatory demand and internal extension of scope. Requesting and managing input from a variety of subject matter experts in different functions to ensure that solutions include all relevant aspects such as quantitative methodologies, governance and controls, management information and high quality processing in a consistent, efficient manner and in compliance with regulatory requirements and expanded expectations.

Contributing to the establishment of an Enterprise Risk Management function in the APAC Division with focus areas: rollout of Risk Appetite Framework, shaping of Management Information reporting in particular crisis management capabilities and frequent risk analysis newsletters, drafting policies and control frameworks. Supplementary responsibilities comprise a variety of general risk framework activities and ad hoc requests.

Further development of the Group-wide Risk Appetite Framework to adapt to the evolution of accounting rules and regulation in close cooperation with Treasury, Finance and risk model owners. Implementation of adapted Risk Appetite Frameworks in a number of entities. Risk assessment of the annual business plans for Group and key legal entities. Various ad hoc activities related to capital adequacy and capitalization.

Engagement in a number of projects and special tasks of different nature to enhance the integrated Risk / Finance / Treasury reporting and analytics to meet regulatory requirements (e.g. Basel III capital framework). Determination of Business Risk, evaluation of overall scenario impact on capital strength and consequences for the firm’s risk capacity (risk appetite framework, stress testing). Regular reporting and contribution to ad hoc requests on such topics, performance analysis and other management information on behalf of the board of directors, senior executives and regulators.

Identification and assessment of risks of different nature (Credit, Market, Operational, Reputation, etc.) within divisions (Investment Bank, Wealth Management, Asset Management) and on group level. Contribution to strategic risk-related projects. Consulting and supporting divisional representatives in risk matters and implementation of risk mitigating measures. Leading or participating in various reviews and assignments with broad coverage of aspects and functions.

Analysis and reporting on various risk matters, development and calibration of new/revision of existing rating tools (counterparty and transaction based). Establishing rating guidelines and educational documentation for standard rating process, advising credit officers in non-standard rating issues. Merging credit officers’ single case view with methodological framework approach. Contribution as project member or manager to several projects such as standardised credit process or Basel II related matters.
