Hello, I'm Marc, a Year 2 student pursuing a Diploma in Aerospace Electronics and Certificate in Aviation Management at Singapore Polytechnic. Throughout my secondary school years, my Co-curricular activity was the Outdoor Adventure Club (ODAC). During my time with this CCA, I was given many opportunities after being appointed as a member of the executive committee, such as taking my juniors on their physical training sessions to ensure their participation, as well as planning for our Camp. I worked with my CCA buddies, to ensure that all the skills and CCA traditions that we have acquired over the years are passed on to our juniors. During my 3 years in ODAC, I have picked up many important skills such as leadership, discipline and teamwork, as well as other physical skills such as kayaking and rock climbing. I hope to apply these skills in future in the workforce.In my time here in DASE, I have learnt the fundamentals of electronics and the different kinds of circuits, to build up my foundation. My practical lessons have also taught me how to apply these concepts in real-world contexts. I have also taken on elective modules such as Airport Terminal and Ramp Operations and Management, which have boosted my knowledge in airport operations and management, both within the terminal and on the ramp.My passion for all things aviation related started from young, where I would go to the airport hours before my flight to watch the aircraft move around the ramp, and look forward to the flight more than the holiday itself on every trip that I embark on. I also display my love for aviation through aviation photography as a hobby. With my trusty camera, I capture these awe-inspiring beasts in a myriad of colours, and capturing moments in time that showcase their grace and power.That said, my aim is to merge my passion for aviation and my knowledge in the aviation industry to make a meaningful impact in the field. My dream is to get a commercial pilot license one day, where I get to travel the world and enjoy the views from the skies above.
